About Me
Hi Everyone!
I’m Miranda and the creator of ‘SensiFilm’. I’ve always loved being creative and it runs in my family. My family has painters, photographers and musicians, though I seem to be the first filmmaker!
I was especially drawn to photography and media towards the end of high school, and so I naturally chose to study BA (Hons) Film at Edinburgh Napier University between 2012-2016.
As much as I loved creating fictional films with my fellow students at Uni, my passion really revealed itself with documentary filmmaking and capturing real life. I specialised in a bit of everything - producing, directing, recording, editing and sound design.
After graduating I was diagnosed with Crohn’s and was very unwell for months. Once back on my feet, I got a job at an architectural lighting design and supply company, and am still there working in sales and technical full time in Edinburgh.
When covid hit in 2020, this was a real eye opener. Not being able to see loved ones, it was clear that photos (and videos especially) can be so important and valuable to happiness and wellbeing. It’s a doorway to reliving memories and remembering happier times.
With this in mind, I started filming at my favourite places, creating visual film portraits. I absolutely loved doing these - capturing atmosphere, happiness and arty film shots, then splicing them together as short films. My brother and his fiancée gave me the idea to film weddings, and as I love people-watching and capturing happy memories, this has been the most natural path. It’s great for my soul and I love helping others capture their happy memories to be enjoyed forever.
In April 2021 I decided to invest in a professional film camera. After some practising I officially launched SensiFilm in September 2021 and have loved every second. It’s gone so well and I’m thankful for getting such amazing feedback. I’m so excited for the future films I’ll make and it feels great to make such special videos! It truly is my calling!

There had been so much care and attention to detail with the results including lots of additional footage. Really nice and easy to work with and kept me up to date throughout the process.
My only criticism would be that she's priced herself too low! I half expected her to be a scam or not show up because she was so much cheaper than others for similar packages but she was absolutely fabulous!"
